Have the confidence to reach out there and make the most of your next hunt!
Partnering with Precision Hunting Supply, formerly known as Best of the West Arizona, we have the knowledge and ability to get anyone with any experience to the next level. The systems we run are all ballistically perfect rifles. We can teach anyone in a few hours how they work and have them hit targets out at 1,000 yards. Shooting 1,000 yards was unheard of 10 years ago unless you were a sniper in the military. With the technology that is out now of days this can be taught in a 3 hour private lesson or in one of our shooting schools that we host. We run our lessons off our ranch up here in the mountains and teach real world hunting and shooting scenarios. Having confidence with our equipment makes all the difference in the mountains. All our rifle systems are Bergara Rifles built by Precision Hunting Supply and they go through the accuzier service that they provide. Precision Hunting Supply pairs all our rifles with top of the line Huskemaw long range optics. They use the Huskemaw Optics because they have taken all the guess work out of the equation. No Holdovers. Range an elk at 800 yards? Dial to 800 yards. Remove the Guesswork. Custom ballistic and environmental data give you an EXACT wind-hold. Every Time. Windage compensation is one of the most, if not THE most important factor to take into consideration for long range shooting. Huskemaw has scientifically developed and patented the system that simplifies shooting over long distances windy conditions.
Private Lessons
Without a doubt, each and every single one of you wants to shoot your weapon as accurately as possible. This is feasible. With practice, dedication, and understanding of your weapon you really can be a deadly marksman. Whether you have a giant mule deer buck standing broadside at 600 yards, a bull elk bugling in the dark timber at 50 yards, or a few grouse flush up in front of you. We teach you and get you the reps you need to make each shot count.
Our rifle specific class is a 3 hour session. Provided for you are rifles, ammunition, drinks and ear protection. You are more than welcome to bring your own weapon and we will work with you to bring your skillset to the next level.
With our rifles, we begin by diving into the system in detail to get you familiarized with how each aspect works together. The instructors want you to have a deep understanding of how the scope works with that specific rifle. We follow that with teaching the proper techniques for a few different shooting positions that you may encounter in the field, dry fire and break bad habits before live ammunition is sent down range. You need to be 100% comfortable behind your weapon and going through the motions before moving forward.
Target acquisition is key to approaching and properly setting up the rifle, getting in the scope, dialing for distance and holding for wind. We start at 400 yards, instructors describe target location and spot for the shooter. Our goal is to get you to hit a 12”x12” steel square at 1000 yards by the end of the lesson. By then, you should be confident not only in the system we use, but in your ability to take a clean, ethical shot at a longer distance than you may have considered before.
Group Classes
Join us and Precision Hunt Supply for a full 8 hour day. Begins with a classroom session. We look at and discuss what makes our custom rifle builds so unique in their simplicity. Custom yardage turrets based on the rifles bullet specific ballistics, marked wind holds for speed specific winds, and internal bubble levels allow your eyes to stay on target. We discuss the environmental factors that are at play and how the simplicity of these systems can lead to your success downrange even in the worst conditions.
Included in the day is a lunch of wild game and local produce. Prepped and cooked on the ranch before heading up to our rifle range. We have steel set across a canyon starting at 400 yards, going as far as 1000 yards. Among the steel, rocks and cliff faces to use as targets.
Each individual will have sufficient time behind the rifles putting everything they learned just minutes ago to the test. They will also spend time behind spotting scopes and using wind meters to call out shots to everyone else in the group as we spend the rest of our time on the range.
